Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Kingsmead Solar collects, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have. The data controller is Eco Green Upgrades Ltd, trading as Kingsmead Solar, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12927809) with its registered office at Regus, 960 Capability Green, Luton, England, LU1 3PE. What we collect

• What you tell us in the quote form or on the phone: name, phone, email, postcode, property type, roof and energy use, and any notes.
• Survey and installation records: photos of your roof and electrics, system design, the MCS certificate and network operator notification.
• Technical data from this website: pages visited and device type, only if you accept analytics cookies.

Why we use it

• To prepare your quote and survey, and to contact you about them (our legitimate interest in answering your request, and steps before a contract).
• To install and support your system and meet MCS, RECC and network operator rules (contract and legal obligation).
• To improve the website, only with your consent to analytics cookies.

We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not pass them to other installers or lead companies.

Who we share it with

Only who we must: MCS and our certification body, your network operator, the warranty insurer, your chosen energy supplier for export payments if you ask us to, and our IT and email providers under contract. Each only receives what they need.

How long we keep it

Quote requests that do not go ahead are deleted after 24 months. Installation records are kept for the life of the warranties, at least 12 years, because you or a future owner of your home may need them.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
